Sierra Boat maintains the finest staff of qualified marine technicians to handle every aspect of boat repair and restoration. Because we are a year round operation, we are able to retain long term employees who have honed their skills to a high level. The majority of our staff has been with us over ten years.

We have five main departments at our operation:

Store and Parts

Sierra Boat maintains one of the largest inventories of parts and accessories on Lake Tahoe.

Our parts department carries a comprehensive stock of parts for Mercruiser, Volvo, OMC and Bombardier products which include Evinrude and Johnson outboards. We also have parts for old engines such as Chris Craft, Chrysler, Grey Marine and Ford Interceptor.

Brokerage

Sierra Boat specializes in the professional brokerage of Antique and Classic Wooden Boats. We have the largest inventory of wooden runabouts on the West Coast. Because of our 50+ years of experience with wooden boat restoration and repair, we understand the idiosyncrasies of representing and selling Antique and Classic Boats.

Storage

Sierra Boat has indoor storage facilities for over 450 boats. We have ample space for boats up to 22’ and limited space for larger boats. We always give priority storage to wooden boat owners.

Wood Boat Restoration

Mechanical

Our trained mechanics are capable of working on the oldest to newest of engines as well as all of the mechanical systems which go into the boat. We have extensive knowledge of older engines as well as modern ones. We maintain current certifications for Mercruiser, Volvo and Bombardier products.
