2012 Concours d'Elegance

Sponsored by the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation, the 40th annual Concours d'Elegance will take place at Sierra Boat Co., Carnelian Bay, California,  This two day, in-the-water extravaganza focuses on Antique and Classic Boats dating from the turn of the century and typically attracts over 80 of the finest, meticulously maintained water craft from around the world. An internationally acclaimed event, the show draws over 5,000 people to Tahoe's north shore area over the weekend. 

This years "Marque Class" boat will be the Riva Aquarama. Riva boats are built in Italy and have no equal in styling, construction and performance. They are the Rolls Royces of the waterways. In 1962, Carlo Riva built the first of what was to be Riva's signature model. It was called the Aquarama. 2012 is the 50th anniversary of this legendary model. The 2012 Concours will be the kick off to an international event honoring Carlo Riva, who turns 90, and the Aquarama. Events honoring Carlo and the Aquarama will culminate in Italy in early September.
